Tabanero is pleased to announce Fritz Cassel as January’s Fan of the Month! Cassel went to Oklahoma State University and then graduated from the Florida Culinary Institute in 2002. Currently, Cassel is the executive chef at Gratify, an American Gastro Pub in West Palm Beach, Florida. Chef Cassel’s handcrafts the dishes that are served at Gratify and makes sure each ingredient is made from scratch. Everything from pickles to bacon is made at Gratify and set to the highest taste standards.
While under Chef Fritz’s leadership, Gratify has received many awards including: Best Brunch in Palm Beach County, Best Burger, Top 100 Restaurants in Florida 2011 by Florida Trend Magazine, Zagat Rated in February 2011, and Top 10 Florida destination restaurant in 2011 as voted on by Trip Advisor’s users. Late last year, he was also nominated to compete in the ‘Grand Chef Throwdown’ at the Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival. Cassel enjoys making his own bacon and generating cooking tutorial videos which are posted on YouTube. Thanks Chef Cassel for your love of Tabanero, the feeling is most definitely mutual.
